Attorney J. Dana Tipton graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.  She then attended the University of Miami School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor Degree.  She is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar, The U.S. Middle District of Florida and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Central Florida Chapter. 

She is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and she can practice immigration law for those located in any state in the U.S.  She has a total of fifteen years of experience working in immigration law (twelve years as an attorney and three years as a law clerk) and her areas of focus include:  filing all categories of family sponsored green card applications including hardship waivers and spousal abuse applications, filing all types of nonimmigrant visa applications including visitor visas, work visas and investor visas, filing all categories of employment based green card applications, filing U.S. citizenship and naturalization applications and consular processing.

Attorney J. Dana Tipton is a dedicated, reliable professional and each and every case is important to her.  She is passionate about immigration law and she is supportive to applicants and family members throughout the entire immigration process.  She has been through the process with her own family and she knows what a difference it makes to have someone on your side fighting for you and your rights. 

While pursuing her undergraduate and law degrees she volunteered her time at homeless shelters, various crisis centers and with Project Literacy teaching children how to read.  She was also a court advocate and provided assistance to women and children who were victims of domestic violence.  

More recently, her volunteer activities include advocating for the rights of immigrants.  She has traveled to Washington D.C. on numerous occasions to speak to members of Congress about legislation in favor of comprehensive immigration reform that would change our outdated and inefficient immigration system.  In addition, she has long supported and advocated a bill called the DREAM Act which is legislation that will provide legalization for minors who are in the U.S. without legal status.
